High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, sitting at Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, has sentenced Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of late gospel singer Osinachi, to death by hanging for culpable homicide. The court found him guilty of causing her death on April 8, 2022, after a trial that included testimonies from 17 witnesses, including the couple's children. Nwachukwu was also sentenced to prison terms for other charges, including domestic violence and emotional abuse. The court held that the prosecution provided sufficient evidence to prove his guilt, despite his denial and defense witnesses.
